Private Makeup Lessons in Los Angeles & Tarzana

A private lesson is built entirely around you. Mahsa starts by assessing what you already know, then customizes each lesson to your learning needs. She demonstrates her signature techniques step by step, recommends products, and has you practice the look yourself, from start to finish.

Choose the look you want to master: an everyday routine you can do in minutes, or a full glam for events. Mahsa also goes through your makeup kit with you, shows you how to get the most out of the products you already own, and points out any essentials you are missing, so you are not buying things you do not need.

Private lessons come in bundles of three, and each lesson is one hour. Three sessions give you time to learn, practice at home, and come back with questions.

Every lesson is tailored, but a complete look usually covers:

• Skin preparation so makeup sits smoothly and lasts
• Matching and applying foundation and concealer for your skin
• Shaping and filling brows to suit your face
• Eye makeup, from a soft wash of color to a defined glam eye
• Blush, bronzer, and highlight placement for your face shape
• Lip color and liner that stay put
• Turning your everyday look into an evening look
• Which brushes to use, and how to clean and care for them

You do not need any experience. Many clients book because they never learned, feel stuck in the same routine, or have a drawer of products they do not know how to use. Mahsa meets you where you are and teaches in plain, practical steps you can repeat at home.

Lessons also suit people who already wear makeup and want to level up: learning a glam look for events, correcting techniques that are not working, or updating a routine that has not changed in years.

Gather your friends for a fun, educational makeup night. Everyone brings their makeup kit and brushes, learns about their own products and tests new ones, asks questions, and picks up techniques for everyday and nighttime looks. By the end, you show off what you have learned by doing each other's makeup.

Private lessons teach you to do your own makeup beautifully, and they are a practical foundation if you are curious about makeup artistry. They are not a licensing program. In California, applying makeup to clients for pay generally requires a cosmetology or esthetician license from the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, unless a legal exemption applies.
