Wedding planners commonly suggest scheduling the trial about one to three months before the wedding, which leaves time to adjust anything. Some brides book it on the day of an engagement shoot or bridal shower so they can see the makeup in photos and wear it out.

Come to your trial with a clean, moisturized face unless Mahsa asks otherwise, and wear a top close to your dress neckline or color so you can judge the look in context.

On the wedding day, the bride's glam takes up to about two hours, and skin preparation is included in that time. Many brides treat it as the one quiet hour of the day before everything begins.

The simplest way to plan a getting-ready schedule is to start from the moment you need to be photo-ready (often the first look or the start of portraits) and work backward, adding each person's makeup time and a buffer. Wedding planning guides typically allow 30 to 45 minutes per bridesmaid or family member, and recommend building in 30 to 60 minutes of buffer for anything that runs long.
