The four courses
- Microblading & Brow Fundamentals: hand-drawn hair-stroke brows
- Powder/Ombre Brows: machine-shaded brows
- Lip Blush Fundamentals: soft, lasting lip color
- Permanent Eyeliner Fundamentals: lash-line enhancement and liner
Each course stands alone, so you can start with one technique and add others later. Every course includes three days of instruction with Mahsa, supervised practice, course materials, a student kit where applicable, business and client-consultation guidance, and a certificate of completion. The full day-by-day outline is on the permanent makeup training page.
Planning your trip to Tarzana
The studio is at 18321 Ventura Blvd, Suite 680, Tarzana, in the San Fernando Valley. Courses run on three consecutive days, so students from outside Los Angeles usually plan three or four nights nearby.
- Flying in: Hollywood Burbank Airport and Los Angeles International Airport both serve the area. Burbank is usually the easier airport for the Valley.
- Staying nearby: look for lodging along the Ventura Boulevard corridor in Tarzana, Encino, or Woodland Hills to keep the daily drive short.
- Parking: paid building parking is available, with no validation. Arrive about 15 minutes early each day.
- Scheduling: request dates early so you can book travel once your course is confirmed.
Who the courses are for
The courses are beginner-friendly unless a course says otherwise, and they also suit makeup artists and beauty professionals adding permanent makeup, and permanent makeup artists refining one technique. Small groups mean Mahsa can watch your hand and correct technique as you practice.
Training is available in English or Farsi. If you are deciding whether permanent makeup is the right career, read a career in permanent makeup first.
Practicing permanent makeup in your county
California does not issue a state license for permanent makeup. Under the Safe Body Art Act, practitioners register with the local health department where they work, complete bloodborne pathogens training, and work only in a facility with a body art health permit. Requirements and fees are set locally, so check with the health department in your own county before you start taking clients.
A certificate of completion shows you finished a course. It is not a license, and it does not replace the county registration and bloodborne pathogens training required to practice. Read California PMU requirements for the details and official sources.
Tuition and payment
Tuition is $6,000 for Mixed Brows (6 days), $5,000 for Microblading (5 days), $5,000 for Lip Blush (5 days), and $3,500 for Lash Line (4 days). Every course includes a full professional starter kit. Flexible payment options may be available. Exact payment schedules, deposits, cancellation terms, and refund policies are disclosed before enrollment.
