Makeup built for a long Armenian wedding day
Many Armenian weddings in Los Angeles follow a full-day rhythm: the bride gets ready at home with family close by, the church ceremony follows, and then a large, lively reception that can run late. Some families also keep home traditions before the ceremony, with relatives arriving while the bride is still getting ready.
Mahsa plans the makeup around that schedule. Skin preparation and long-wear products keep the base in place from the first photos to the last dance, and she builds the look so it reads correctly in soft window light at home, in the church, and under reception lighting and camera flash.
Choosing your look
Armenian brides ask for everything from soft, luminous glam to a more defined, full-glam look with sculpted skin, strong brows, and fuller lashes. There is no single "Armenian bridal look"; Mahsa designs yours around your features, your dress, your hair, and the feeling you want in your photos.
- Church ceremony: many brides prefer a slightly softer, elegant look for the ceremony that can be intensified for the reception.
- Reception: a touch-up before the entrance refreshes lips and adds definition for the evening.
- Veil and headpiece: Mahsa plans makeup and lashes so they work with your veil and hair accessories in close-up photos.
You try the look at the bridal preview in Tarzana, about 1 to 1.5 hours, and adjust it until it is exactly right.
Makeup for the bridal party and family
Armenian weddings often include a large bridal party and many family members who want makeup. Bridal Party Makeup is $350 per person, and for larger groups Mahsa brings a team of up to three trained artists so the morning runs on time.
Mothers and grandmothers often want a lighter, more natural look that still photographs beautifully. Mahsa adapts products and technique for mature skin; see mother of the bride makeup.
Touch-ups through the day
For long days, the Diamond Package ($2,200) is Mahsa's complete luxury bridal experience, with extended touch-up coverage through the booked day. It suits weddings where the ceremony and reception are hours apart and you want your makeup refreshed before the reception entrance.
Brows and lips before the wedding
Some brides have microblading, powder brows, or lip blush before the wedding so they wake up with defined brows and lip color. Plan the first session at least two to three months ahead to leave time for healing and the follow-up. Read permanent makeup before your wedding.
