When to schedule your trial
Wedding planning guides commonly recommend a trial about one to three months before the wedding. That is close enough that your skin, hair color, and dress are settled, and far enough away to try a second direction if something is not right.
Many brides schedule the trial on the same day as their engagement photos, bridal shower, or a dress fitting, so they can see the makeup on camera and wear it for a few hours. If you are planning microblading or lip blushing before the wedding, complete it and let it heal before your trial, so the trial reflects your healed brows and lips.

What to bring and how to prepare
- Three to five photos of makeup you love, plus any looks you know you do not want
- A photo of your dress, veil, and planned hairstyle, and any jewelry details
- A top in a similar neckline or color to your dress
- A clean, moisturized face, unless Mahsa asks otherwise
- A note of recent facials, peels, or new skincare
- Your lipstick or lip products if you want to test them
How to judge the look
- Take photos in natural daylight, indoors, and with flash.
- Keep the makeup on for several hours to see how it wears.
- Look at it from a distance, not only up close in a mirror.
- Ask yourself whether you still look like you on your best day.
- Tell Mahsa honestly what you would change; that is what the trial is for.

The Bridal Preview is $250. If you book your wedding makeup within 48 hours after the preview, $50 of the preview fee is credited toward your Bridal Makeup.
Do I really need a bridal makeup trial?
It is strongly recommended. A trial lets you finalize your look, test products on your skin, and time the application, so nothing is decided under pressure on the wedding morning.
How far before the wedding should I do my makeup trial?
About one to three months before the wedding is common. It leaves time for a second attempt while your skin, hair, and dress are already settled.
How long does a bridal makeup trial take?

Say so during the trial. Adjusting lashes, color intensity, or lip shade is exactly what the trial is for, and it is much easier to change now than on the wedding day.
Should I get my hair done at the same time as my makeup trial?
If you can, scheduling your hair trial the same day helps you see the complete look together, especially with a veil or hair accessories.
Can bridesmaids or my mother have a trial too?
Trials are most important for the bride, but a mother of the bride or anyone nervous about their look can ask about a trial when you inquire.
