Planned around the moments of the day
Many Jewish weddings include moments that happen close together and all end up in photographs: the Ketubah signing, the bedeken (veiling), the Chuppah ceremony, family portraits, and then a reception where the hora gets everyone moving. Mahsa times the makeup so you are ready, with a few minutes to spare, before the first of those moments.
Because the ceremony and reception can be hours apart, and the dancing is energetic, long-wear application matters. Mahsa preps the skin carefully and chooses products that hold through a long day. With the Diamond Package she stays for touch-ups, so your reception look is as fresh as your Chuppah photos.
Your look under the veil and on the dance floor
- Under the veil: Mahsa plans lashes and eye makeup so they look beautiful through sheer fabric and in close-up photos after the veil is lifted.
- Natural light and flash: outdoor Chuppah ceremonies and indoor receptions need a look that reads correctly in both.
- Soft glam to full glam: from luminous, skin-first makeup to sculpted, defined eyes, designed around your dress, hair, and personal style.
- Modest styles: Mahsa is happy to work with brides who prefer a softer, more natural look for the ceremony.
You decide on the final look at the bridal preview in Tarzana, about 1 to 1.5 hours, before the wedding.
Persian-Jewish weddings
Persian-Jewish weddings often combine traditions and can span a very long day. Mahsa specializes in Persian bridal makeup, speaks Farsi with family members who prefer it, and understands the pace of these celebrations. The Persian and Jewish wedding planning guide covers Ketubah, Aghd, and Chuppah timing.
Mothers, grandmothers, and bridal party
Jewish weddings are family events, and many mothers, grandmothers, and sisters want makeup too. Bridal Party Makeup is $350 per person, and for larger families Mahsa brings a team of up to three trained artists. Mothers and grandmothers often prefer a softer look for mature skin; see mother of the bride makeup.
